In this critical position, the successful candidate will create value for the organization by partnering with Executive Recruiters and Sr. Researchers to attract and recruit executive talent so that the organization continues to achieve its business objectives and strategic intent. The Research Associate identifies qualified internal and external candidates for executive opportunities and successfully partners with the recruitment team to attract and screen high-value talent. The job is a 6 month assignment with an option to renew and located in Renton, WA, Burbank, CA, or Portland, OR.


  • Sources and pipelines prospects for current and future positions using networking, social media, events, competitive intelligence/research, sourcing tools, employee referrals, diversity, military, and professional outreach.

  • Gather and compile statistics, competitive intelligence, talent maps, market data, for reporting and decision-making purposes.

  • Search Internet job boards, databases, niche sites, and other channels for appropriate candidates.

  • Partners with Executive Recruiters and the Sr. Researchers to develop comprehensive recruitment and sourcing strategies and candidate progress reports, clarifies required capabilities of each position and uses best practice sourcing strategies and techniques. Builds position specifications with guidance from the Executive Recruiter.

  • Proactively manages candidates and talent pipelines. Successfully negotiates with Executive Recruiters and hiring executives to maintain responsiveness and timeliness, and to ensure the timeline of the search process.

  • Collaborates with Sr. Recruiting Coordinators to ensure requisitions are completed, opened, activities/candidates are tracked properly and closed in the applicant tracking system.

  • Reviews resumes against position specifications, conducts basic candidate phone screens against qualifications and selects the best-qualified candidates to present to Executive Recruiters.



  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or similar field required.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a recruitment, recruitment research, or staffing-related role required.

  • Technology expert: Advanced Internet sleuthing skills and a high proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Drives results: Self-directed and works diligently to accomplish tasks and achieve objectives.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Team player: Ability to work effectively in teams.

  • Customer satisfaction: Ability to build and maintain superior relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience with recruitment databases, related technologies, and applicant tracking systems preferred.
