Providence Health & Services Medical Laboratory Technician in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Medical Laboratory Technician to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
This is a per diem, variable shift position.
We are seeking a laboratorian to perform the essential laboratory testing that is critical to the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
In this position you will:
Plan, perform and evaluate routine and complex laboratory tests in your assigned department(s), which could include: hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and/or immunohematology (blood bank).
Responsible for planning, performing, and evaluating laboratory testing analysis and quality control.
Maintain communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations. Operate instruments and perform maintenance function checks and trouble-shoot.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate’s Degree in related health science or graduate from an approved MLT program
National certification by ASCP or equivalent body, or board-eligible, with expectation of board completion within 6 months of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Experience in medical laboratory in a medium to high complexity laboratory
