Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - PACU (Per Diem, Variable 10 Hour Shift) to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.

Become an integral member of a highly skilled surgical team of specialists who perform a wide variety of procedures and surgeries including orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, urologic surgery, and pediatric surgery within six surgery suites, a gastrointestinal lab for endoscopic exams and colonoscopies, and a spacious recovery area all equipped with the latest technology.

In this position you will:

  • The Patient Care Leader is a Registered Professional Nurse who is accountable and responsible for the delivery of direct care to patients individually and through the assignment and direction of the patient car team, utilizing a collaborative patient care management process, meeting established standards of nursing care and integrating other health care team members.

  • Respond to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on scope of service of unit/department where assigned.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current California (CA) Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

  • Nursing degree/diploma upon hire

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) or higher required within three (3) years or 20 years of RN experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One year direct patient care experience in an acute care facility
