Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician, Oral Dose in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Long Term Care, Day Shift, Full-time) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. Position Details: This is a full-time position with benefits (40 hours/week, 1.0FTE). Variable shift (Typically starting at 10:30am to 7pm, weekdays OR 9am to 5:30pm weekends. Possibly adjusting schedule based on needs of the department. Rotating Weekends.). This position is not in a hospital setting.
In this position you will:
Assist licensed pharmacists to formulate, label and dispense medications and other health care products in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collect & verify patient medication histories.
Perform routine pharmacy work that may include inventory, sterilization and maintaining patient records.
Calculate drug volumes to deliver correct dosages.
Prepare competed pharmaceuticals for delivery by mail or courier service.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) equivalent
Completion of approved pharmacy technician training program
Current Pharmacy Technician certification in Washington State
Current national Pharmacy Technician certification (or must obtain within 3 months of hire)
Retail and/or long-term care pharmacy experience
Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with QS/1 pharmacy software and Pyxis machines
Order entry experience
