We are seeking a Director of Operations - Clinical Applications who will have the following key goals and accountabilities:
Advise the VP, and serve as a thought partner on major strategic considerations
Coordinate and execute strategy
Improve the team's capabilities and performance where possible; and deliver on analysis and consulting assignments
Be responsible for internal team communications, certain external speaking engagements, and working with HR to drive more effective recruiting, caregiver engagement, and mission integration for the digital organization and clinicians
Possess a strong program management background
Lead large projects through use of a well-rounded technical background in modern application management
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Create data-driven, business-informed processes to support multiple programs with competing priorities that have broad cross-organizational impact, from conception to customer implementation
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels in, as well as with other Providence staff, vendors, agents, and others
Conduct presentations to members outside of Providence and outside of the healthcare industry
Serve as a thought partner to the VP and team
Plan and execute large cross-functional initiatives, inclusive of integration between several software component deliverables, user experience and operational workflows, security, privacy, regulatory compliance, and cost planning
Research opportunities to improve the team’s effectiveness through developing processes that enable better execution, rhythm of the business, and effective meeting/process management
Lead through influence, working with team members across the organization.
Capture action items and think strategically about driving complex decision making and accountability in a highly matrixed and complex organization helping the team get to the best possible solution in the shortest possible time
Serve as primary administrative contact with Providence Shared Services on matters related to Contracts, Procurement, Legal, HR, Recruiting, Facilities, Finance and IT working to improving the integration between these teams and the Innovation team
Lead triage of critical customer issues across programs to ensure customer success as the product and business scales to more customers
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience developing and maintaining Agile processes for a 100 person distributed product team
Demonstrated success with incubating new product ideas from conception to scaling with multiple customers. This includes defining and managing success outcomes for the product development engineering team
Collaboration within a global environment--in-country and international teams
Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced start-up environment in which you strive to install lightweight processes to help scale the business and drive better decision making
Able to work with teams to source data, analyze and interpret quickly and accurately
Able to dive deep into issues, understand the details, and synthesize and communicate a clear strategy
Ability to think differently about how to solve problems and get large organizations to innovate quickly
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or other related scientific or engineering fields -OR- a combination of equivalent education / experience
10 or more years' experience in a leadership role
Demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it
Demonstrated track record of building efficient, low weight, high-quality processes that result in great decisions and rapid execution
Background in healthcare and technology
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
10 or more years' experience in a consulting role is preferred, so as to have the perspective of the leader they are supporting
10 or more years' experience with a major consulting firm
10 or more years' experience in healthcare and technology
