Providence Health & Services Revenue Cycle Services Vendor Liaison in Alaska

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Revenue Cycle Services Vendor Liaison. This position is open to Candidates residing in Alaska, Washington, Montana, Oregon, California or Texas.

We are seeking a RCS Vendor Liaison who will be responsible for relationship management activities for all assigned PSJH Revenue Cycle Payer Yield vendors across all states and ministries served. Vendor category examples include insurance discovery, underpayments, zero balance and small balance accounts receivable. The Vendor Liaison is responsible for day-to-day vendor relationships to ensure vendor quality and accountability, facilitate timely issue resolution, conduct audits, and act as an intermediary between Revenue Cycle leadership and vendor representatives. The role is accountable to make timely knowledge-based decisions related to the vendors and operational practices. The Vendor Liaison also maintains comprehensive knowledge of related legal or regulatory policies across all states served to ensure compliance is maintained.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Acts as the primary day-to-day liaison between all assigned existing or new PSJH Revenue Cycle Payer Yield vendors and Revenue Cycle leaders to identify issues and facilitate timely resolution.

  • Coordinate with systems resources to ensure transmission and reconciliation of assignments to account outsourcing vendors, and proper handling of returned accounts.

  • Monitor vendor activities to ensure accounts are received timely and acknowledged as received by the vendor.

  • Reconciliation of vendor invoices with presentation to Revenue Cycle leaders for payment approval, to include auditing of vendor remittances to ensure all fees billed are in accordance with the contract and include supporting documentation of payments posted to the account.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new vendors, to facilitate successful working relationships which promote quality results.

  • Maintain industry and operational knowledge related to vendors, including legal and regulatory policies, for all regions.

  • Conduct audits to ensure all relevant PSJH policies and procedures, service level agreements, and State regulations are followed by vendors.

  • Conduct periodic vendor quality reviews to confirm adherence to service level agreements.

  • Analyze vendor related data trends across PSJH ministries and report to Revenue Cycle leadership.

  • Facilitate vendor performance reporting for all Revenue Cycle leaders and PSJH ministries.

  • Conduct regular meetings with vendors to discuss the details and status of ongoing assignments and performance across the PSJH ministries.

  • Provide training to business office staff on issues related to accounts placed with vendors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a medical business office setting. Knowledge in reimbursement of health care accounts from insurance companies.

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a healthcare organization.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills.

  • Ability to represent the company with external constituents.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 3 years prior vendor management related experience.
