Providence Health & Services Senior Account Manager VBC in Alaska
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Account Manager VBC to our work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, NV, OR, TX and/or WA.
Sr. Account Manager is responsible for supporting system and regional stakeholders in the development, implementation and performance management of a portfolio of value-based care (VBC) contracts. The role serves as a liaison between VBA payor partners, medical groups, Population Health Informatics, and other stakeholders. The role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all Joint Operating Committee meetings with regional leadership, payors and internal contracting team. This position monitors risk contract performance and supports regions in developing action plans needed to achieve quality and financial targets outlined in risk contracts. This position supports timely delivery and /or progress on contract terms, issue resolution and identified joint initiatives. Works closely with payor contracting, Informatics, Physician Services, Population Health leadership, Model of Care and regional leadership teams.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Support operationalization of regional risk contracts pre- and post-contract execution
Manage and post-contract execution relations with payors, facilitating collaboration, data exchange, and performance improvement activities.
Coordinate work with subject matter experts and leaders for risk contract implementation, ongoing operations, and issue resolution.
Coordinate work with regional population health leads to drive performance for risk contract targets (financial and quality target achievement)
Support timely delivery and/or progress on contract terms, issues resolution and identified joint initiatives with regions, contracting and payors
Support monitoring and reporting regional performance at regional contract strategy committees and Population health Roundtable meetings.
Demonstrates effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees, stakeholders, other department employees and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive relations
Works independently and manages time effectively. Makes informed decisions about investing efforts in order to compete assignments on time: communicate with customers regarding prioritization and target completion dates based on business needs and/or impact.
Manages multiple projects including complex, high risk projects and projects with demanding stakeholders to ensure desired deliverables are met
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare-related field or equivalent education/experience.
6 years experience in project management with at least 4 years leading the strategic direction for projects and developing project plans. Highly experienced in all areas of project management.
Intermediate ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in healthcare related field or equivalent education/experience.
5 years experience in healthcare organization working with risk based contractsa and understanding of value based care and population health principles.
Advanced demonstrated problem solving skills.
Advanced demonstrated communciation skills.
Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.
