Providence Health & Services Associate Recruiter - PSJH in Anchorage, Alaska
Providence is calling a Associate Recruiter, Talent Acquisition to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA. This position can also be based in Spokane, WA or Anchorage, AK.
We are seeking a candidate-focused Associate Recruiter to serve as the primary point of contact for managers for the recruitment and selection of PSJH employees. Responsible for consulting and implementing the sourcing and recruitment services that favorably impact our business objectives. This individual will deliver high quality service to both internal and external customers. This position works independently and utilizes own judgment to screen and present candidates. Performs all duties in an ethical and professional manner that promotes Providence St. Joseph Health and it's affiliating organizations' mission, values, and philosophy.
In this position you will:
Partner with Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners (HRBP) to build comprehensive recruitment plans, clarify required job skills and competencies, and use the best sourcing strategies and techniques for each job category.
Be responsible for the end to end recruiting process for less complex roles/easy to fill roles and partner with Recruiters and/or Senior Recruiters to fill more complex positions.
Proactively manage candidates and prioritize requisitions based on metrics and understanding of recruiting goals.
Successfully negotiate with Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers to maintain responsiveness and timeliness, and to ensure adherence to the selection process.
Collaborate with TA Coordinators to ensure requisitions are complete, opened, activities/candidates tracked and closed in the applicant tracking system.
Review resumes against job requirements, conduct candidate phone screens/assessments against qualifications and select the best qualified candidates to present to Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers.
Source candidates using networking, social media, events, competitive intelligence/research, sourcing tools and TA Programs such as employee referrals, diversity, military and professional outreach.
Possess knowledge of the candidate market across the spectrum of assigned positions and throughout the region in order to best advise Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers and HRBP’s in hiring decisions.
Manage the offer process and act as a liaison between the candidate and the Recruiters, Senior Recruiters and/or Hiring Manager during negotiations.
Consider the company’s and the candidate’s needs throughout the process.
Develop and maintain thorough understanding of positions recruited for, including required candidate qualifications, competencies, compensation and motivations.
Periodically visit customer's locations, tour facilities, and achieve a working vocabulary of departmental characteristics.
Ensure positions are visible to the appropriate candidate audience by working closely with TA support team.
Ensure positions are posted accurately on internal web site and on external sources.
Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into all Talent Acquistion processes and daily activities.
Promote sensitivity with cultural and religious beliefs and directly support and promote hiring a diverse workforce.
Comply with all laws, regulations and requirements of appropriate licensing and accrediting bodies.
Assure compliance with confidentiality policies.
In accordance with State and Federal laws, maintains confidentiality of employee, patient, and business related information.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree or equivalent educ/experience
Two years experience in human resources - 1 year in the recruiting environment in a customer facing role
Participation in an HR professional organization (e.g. PHR/SPHR, AIRS Certified Recruiter, NW Recruiter Association, ERE, NAHCR Certified Recruiter)
Ability to consistently exhibit superior customer service, including when under significant pressure to achieve expected timelines for the hiring of new staff, Ability to work proficiently in a self-managed team environment and possess independent problem solving skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of and ability to maintain recruiting processes
Excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport on the phone
High level of proficiency with written communications
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Proficient in MS Office suite products
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Applicant Tracking Systems experience
Heathcare experience and/or high volume recruitment
Experience or knowledge ot the Alaska recruiting market
