Providence Mental Health Supervisor - Crisis Recovery Center in Anchorage, Alaska

Description:

Providence is calling a Supervisor Mental Health Therapy (Crisis Recovery Center, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to the Providence Crisis Recovery Center in Anchorage, Alaska. In this position you will:

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring and evaluating personnel. Provide direct assistance with determination of staffing plan and needs. Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary action when needed

  • Act as a resource for individuals, groups and organizations who are clients or consumers of the Providence Crisis Recovery Center adolescent unit to develop, implement and modify program standards to meet the adolescent client care and staff development needs. Responsible for creating and maintaining program policies and procedures. Clarify roles and responsibilities of the program staff

  • Assist in preparation, monitoring and administration of monthly budget and capital requirements for the Providence Crisis Recovery Center adolescent unit in conjunction with Director. Provide data entry and reporting Kronos as appropriate

  • Support Q.I. program and encourages staff and physician participation in development of expected outcomes. Identify adolescent client needs through data collection and analysis. Initiate problem-solving and quality improvement measures to maintain program integrity. Responsible for compiling statistics for quality improvement processes. Maintain consistent feedback loop with adolescent clients/referral sources via program evaluations

  • Work cooperatively and in a positive manner with key players to maximize the efficient and appropriate delivery of behavioral health services. Perform comprehensive assessments of adolescent clients and the relevant systems to formulate diagnoses and plans appropriate intervention. Provides crisis intervention and appropriate community services referrals to the adolescent client and family

  • Act as a liaison between Providence Crisis Recovery Center adolescent unit staff, purchasing, HIS, MIS, dietary, and facilities departments as well as community agencies to enhance ongoing support for the program

  • Implement care/services that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of clients served

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field

  • Current clinical licensure or capacity to become licensed within 6 months from date of hire in the State of Alaska as one or more of the following: Clinical Social Work (LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT/LMFTA – Licensed Marital and Family Therapist or Licensed Marital and Family Therapy Associate), Professional Counselor (LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor), Psychologist Associate (LPA – Licensed Psychological Associate)

  • 4 years clinical experience in a psychiatric health care field

  • Practice of assessment, decision making, planning, and evaluation

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
