Providence is calling a Coordinator Hospital Preparedness Program (Full-Time, DayShift) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Coordinator Hospital Preparedness Program who will assist in the design, implementation and coordination of the medical centers HPP (Hospital Preparedness Program) Grant, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety Programs for Providence Saint Joseph, Holy Cross, and Tarzana Medical Centers.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Assist in developing goals and objectives, and establishes implements and maintains necessary manuals consistent with all pertinent OSHA, CAL OSHA, EPA, NFPA, State of California DHS Codes, JCAHO, and other regulatory agencies’ laws and requirements.
Ensure compliance with HPP grant guidelines, maintains records, audits and budgets as required by the HPP, State and Federal agencies.
Develop response procedures and provides training for Emergency Preparedness and Safety initiatives that will prepare employees, physicians and volunteers to respond effectively in disaster or emergency incidents.
Ensure that decontamination exercises, staff training and equipment function within required parameters set by the ASPR grant and JCAHO, and are meeting all documentation requirements to successfully undergo inspection and survey.
Complete an annual review/audit of Emergency Management/Security/Safety programs and update and provides input into the yearly the Emergency management plan.
Maintain the CCT system and reviews incidents as requested.
Act as the office manager and liaison for emergency preparedness, security and safety programs for the service area.
Responsible for scheduling and oversight of quarterly department disaster drills and code pink drills as required by regulatory agencies.
Develop and maintain agendas and meeting minutes for areas of responsibility and as requested.
Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations, to keep abreast of the latest trends and regulatory requirements in field of expertise.
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Certification in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
2 years experience in a healthcare position.
Experience in writing training compliance documentation in a fast paced environment.
Experience with JCAHO in a health care environment.
Emergency preparedness experience with special focus on OSHA regulations and Hospital Safety.
Experience or certification in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
