Providence is calling a Maintenance Technician (Full-Time/Night Shift) at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who will repair and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans and air conditioners. Inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment and as directed.
In this position you will:
Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, infection control, and safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery and equipment
Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose problems
Inspect grounds to ensure safe conditions and makes recommendations for improvements
Perform minor repairs on electrical equipment and machinery and to buildings and facilities, including painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing or electrical power
Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of broken parts
Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
Clean and lubricates parts
Check and replaces broken electrical switches and makes other electrical repairs
Prepare paint and applies to various structures
Make minor plumbing repairs
Maintain Life and Safety procedures, fire systems, fire doors, sprinkler system
Keep work areas orderly, clean and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies
Participate in educational programs and in service meetings
Implement and maintains established department, unit, and hospital policies, procedures, and objectives as well as improving organization performance program, safety, environmental, and infection control policies
Attend meetings as required
Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise
Follow the job accountabilities may be reassigned:
Maintain department records, reports, and files as required
Assist in establishing quality levels and standards
Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
May drive between facilities as required
- California Driver's License
Vocational/Specialized Training (2) year trade school mechanical, plumbing or welding certificate
Two (2) years hospital experience
