Providence Health & Services Senior Manager Communications in California
Providence St. Joseph is calling a Senior Manager Communications to our location in Seatlte/Renton, WA, Irvine, CA, or Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Senior Manager Communications to provide organization-wide strategy, planning and delivery of communication initiatives in support of Providence strategic priorities. In this role, the senior manager focuses on labor and employee relations, developing and supporting communication strategies and frameworks for internal and external audiences. The senior manager collaborates with cross-functional teams across geographic regions, facilities and diverse business units to ensure alignment and to mobilize large-scale projects and initiatives.
In this position you will:
Develop analysis and strategy, and plan and execute communication initiatives, major organizational campaigns and other programs related to labor and employee relations
Serve as strategic communication counselor on a variety of topics and issues. Support and advise leaders on issues and reputation management, and on amplifying congressional and top advocacy priorities
Proven ability to work independently writing, creating and implementing high-quality communication plans, messaging and copy that meets Providence standards
Oversee, manage and measure effectiveness of key communication projects and initiatives, including issues/crisis management, employee/caregiver communication, executive communication, public relations, media relations, thought leadership and social media/ influencer strategies to promote and enhance the reputation of Providence and our family of organizations
Support and enhance the quality of all communication tools and channels to ensure communication is delivered consistently and proactively to stakeholders. Support measurable improvement in caregiver engagement, based on established standards
Reinforce, enhance, and grow the organizational narrative of Providence through consistent, proactive and reactive communication. Reinforce and strengthen our identity as a mission-driven Catholic health care ministry that cares for all and speaks up for those who are most vulnerable
Ensure alignment of organizational and region/ministry messaging and communication programs. Manage, monitor and improve the delivery of information and messaging to caregivers and other audiences
Work closely with marketing and communication leadership at the system and regional level to coordinate messaging and positioning across audiences
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
5 years demonstrated management experience in leading broad-based and successful communication programs
Demonstrated experience managing communication programs and business relationships
Demonstrated experience working in highly matrixed and geographically dispersed organizations and teams
Demonstrated writing and editing experience. Demonstrated health care experience
Deep knowledge of integrated health care and communication practices
Ability to create strong, strategic business relationships with senior executives and board leadership at both the organizational and region/ministry level
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Communication experience in health care
Experience in a faith-based organization
