Providence Assistant Nurse Manager - Critical Care in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling an Assistant Nurse Manager (1.0 FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Critical Care at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, provides direct nursing supervision on the unit ensuring comprehensive and quality patient care. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists with day-to-day management of unit operations. This position assists with oversight of clinical and resource utilization, patient throughput, quality assessment and improvement, patient/staff/provider satisfaction, interpretation of policies and procedures, staff education and regulatory compliance. Participates in the selection and evaluation of staff as delegated by the director and/or Nurse Manager.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates responsibility for day-to-day unit activities related to:
Staffing and supervision.
Performance management, recognition mentoring and coaching.
Improving quality and safety.
Customer service and service recovery.
Physician liaison, including rounding.
Participates in the hiring of new employees. Assists with timely and accurate evaluations of staff according to PCH standards.
Collaborates with the Nurse Manager to update and revise policies, procedures, protocols, processes, standards, and job descriptions
Demonstrates above average skill in conflict resolution, negotiation of solutions, communicates positive and constructive feedback within the department and at the hospital level
Participates in coordination and implementation of staff and Charge RN meetings. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager, Director and Educator for meeting content
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Washington State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Current AHA BLS
Current AHA ACLS
Three (3) years cute care nursing within the last five years.
