An Area Pharmacy Analyst has completed an accredited ACPE Pharmacy Technician program and possesses an active California Pharmacist Technician License. Under the general direction of the Area Pharmacy Management Team, the Area Pharmacy Analyst provides management and support of the various Pharmacy Information Systems, works collaboratively with area pharmacy management to ensure that the pharmacy provides optimal clinical pharmacy services and regulatory compliance. The Area Pharmacy Analyst is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and optimization of pharmacy information systems, including all Carefusion technologies, to ensure standardization, integration, workflow efficiency and adherence with compliance and regulatory requirements. Utilizing multiple software applications, collects, collates and distributes clinical data and quality reports, audits charges, researches questions regarding billed charges, monitors daily and monthly processes, assists pharmacy personnel with data needs, develops databases, and assists in the maintenance of the Drug Formulary. Collaborates with the Area Pharmacy Management Team to provide critical data needed for the optimization of Patient care, quality assurance and Regulatory compliance. Performs all duties under minimal supervision.
Coursework/Training - Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program in the United States.
5 years Hospital pharmacy experience.
Extensive experience with clinical data analytics, clinical informatics software and technologies, and the ability to extract or mine data necessary for Pharmacy Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance applications.
Experience with Automated Dispensing cabinetry, Smart pump technology and software used to optimize this technology such as Pandora or CareFusion Analytics.
