Providence Health & Services Audiologist - Otolaryngology in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling an Audiologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Otolaryngology Department at Providence Medical Group in Mill Creek, WA. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible to all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The Audiologist shall perform services requiring basic knowledge of biological, physical, behavioral, psychological and sociological sciences as relates to the auditory system. The Audiologist utilizes standardized procedures in the testing, monitoring and observation for the auditory assessment. The Audiologist is directly accountable and responsible to the consumer for the quality of auditory care rendered. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

In this position you will:
Consistently demonstrate adherence to the principles and requirements outlined in the Integrity, Compliance & Privacy Program and any other organization or departmental materials related to compliance with laws, regulatory requirements.
Consistently demonstrate adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations which directly or indirectly relate to the performance and job expectations.
Employee demonstrate knowledge of PHS’s policy on Patients Rights and Responsibilities and respects these rights and responsibilities in carrying-out daily activities.
Assess functionality and perform quality control of the auditory system by use of audiometer and tympanogram.
Demonstrate ability and knowledge of how to utilize audio booth.
Demonstrate ability to prepare, operate, troubleshoot, clean equipment and perform and/or assist with the procedures.
Contribute to the assessment of the patient by visually examining the ears and collecting information regarding hearing status-baseline and monitoring for loss or changes.
Required qualifications for this position include:
PH.D. in Hearing and Speech Board-approved institution of higher learning or Coursework/Training in Doctor of Audiology Degree
Washington State licensed Audiologist
Three (3) years experience in outpatient setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with pediatrics
Experience with hearing aid dispensing
