We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to assists physicians in performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular and electrophysiological procedures. The Vascular Technologist performs a variety of functions to include surgical assisting, procedure monitoring, laboratory circulating, and film and report management.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate PEMC age specific patient care considerations for the populations served.
Assist physicians with CVL and EP procedures by functioning independently in all required roles: scrub technologist, circulator and monitoring tech.
Respond to patient emergencies and prepare patient charges.
Create and maintain records and documentation while maintaining confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate Degree and/or completion of an accredited cardiopulmonary, cardiovascular, or radiologic technology training program
Current or eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within six months of hire
Current or eligible for Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within six months of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Two (2) years recent experience in an invasive cardiac cath or electrophysiology (EP) lab within a hospital setting
