Providence is calling a Grief Support Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Spiritual Care Snohomish at SCS Hospice in Everett, Washington.
Under the direction of the Bereavement Coordinator, provides office support to bereavement program. Communicates in a professional manner with public and staff. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept, caring and respect which reflects the philosophy of the agency. Upholds the standards of confidentiality, attendance and punctuality.

In this position you will:
Assists with bereavement information and mailings.
Assists with bereavement database and reports.
Provides the bereavement team (including Carousel) with clerical support.
Establish and promotes positive working relationships both within the team, agency and organization.
Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as facility/agency specific policies and procedures, including PACE regulatory requirements if applicable.
Maintain confidentiality of all client demographics, medical and financial information at all times. Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Adheres to all policies and procedures including regulatory requirements with regard to infection control, practicing universal precautions, sanitation, and safety and disaster preparedness.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
1 year of secretarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Social Work, Counseling, related human services, or end of life experience
Knowledge of the normal grief process & knowledge, interest, and ability in providing the hospice concept of care
Ability to deal effectively with people of diverse culture, lifestyle and religion
Database management experience
