Providence Health & Services Intervention Therapist - Intervention Center in Everett, Washington
Providence is looking for an Intervention Therapist (0.6 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Intervention Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA
Provide mental health services to victims of sexual assault and abuse, including support group facilitation and individual therapy. Recruit and supervise therapy interns to assist in the provision of mental health services.
In this position you will:
Provide therapy for adult clients: Provide counseling for clients 22 years and older who have a history of sexual abuse/assault or is a parent/caregiver of a child with history of sexual abuse. Serve necessary number of clients per grant year.
Suicide assessment: Provide suicide assessment on all clients and respond according to agency policies and procedures.
Performs thorough assessments: Complete biopsychosocial assessment of each client, and determines appropriate level of care with DMS-5.
Supervise counseling interns: Recruit interns through university contacts, website advertising, and job fairs. Meet weekly with interns to go over cases, providing training, assistance and mentorship.
Program oversight: Work collaboratively with manager to identify additional funding opportunities for the growth of the program. Monitor overall program quality and work with manager to address concerns and implement improvements.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Counseling
Therapist CORE training within the first 6 months of hire
Group facilitation experience
LMHC or MFT certification
