Providence Health & Services Manager Clinical Research in Everett, Washington


Providence is calling a Manager Clinical Research (1.0FTE, Days) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

The Department Manager of Clinical Research is accountable

for the planning and day to day operations of the Clinical Research

Department. This position works closely with the Director, research

staff, PI’s, ancillary services and leadership and is accountable in assuring

the goals of the department are met. The primary responsibility is to maintain

positive relationships and to develop trust among our customers to assure we

have access to high quality clinical studies that meet our investigators needs.

In this position you will:

  • Manage the Clinical ResearchDepartment to support the operations of the department

  • Responsible for resourcemanagement, customer relations and operational standards

  • Oversee and manage allactivities associated with clinical trials at Providence Everett MedicalCenter including overall fiscal andstaffing responsibilities;

  • Development and growthof the program;

  • Allocation of resources(physical and human) to meet objectives of research goals; and

  • Compliance with allapplicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures of funding agenciesand institution.

  • Effectively Recruits NewTrials

  • Negotiates effectivelywith vendors for best contractual terms and manages contract workflowefficiently

  • Assures that Joint Commission, state, federal and otherregulatory standards, laws or rules are followed

  • Collaborates with staffto develop patient satisfaction improvement plans based on patient andfamily centered care


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree inhealthcare or business

  • 3 to 5 years relevantclinical research experience

  • Human Subject Protection(HSP)/Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s degree inHealthcare related field

  • Experience and Knowledgeof Lean Concepts and Change Management Practices and Techniques

  • 3 to 5 years ofmanagement or team leadership/supervisory experience
