Providence Pharmacy Intern in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling for a Pharmacy Intern (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to Credena Health Pharmacy in Monroe, WA.
Performs the duties of a Pharmacy Technician. In addition, performs delegated pharmacist duties under the supervision of a pharmacy preceptor as allowed by Washington State regulations .
In this positon you will:
Demonstrates age specific patient care considerations for the population served.
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
Responds to patient and provider inquiries.
Performs telephone reception duties
Answers pneumatic tubes, carries out requests for service
Refers appropriate information/questions to the pharmacist/IV nurse
Fills automated medication dispensing machines on patient care units
Inventories are maintained on a daily basis or as required.
Orders medications and supplies
Prices and shelves stock related documents are timely and accurate
Checks stock for expired medications
Maintains and updates computerized in patient profiles
Accurately records patient and prescription information into the computerized patient order entry system
All entries are properly verified
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED Or equivalent educ/experience
Must be enrolled as a student of Pharmacy in an accredited college and/or university and be registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the Washington State Board of Pharmacy
