Providence is calling a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist (Per Diem, Days) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist delivers, organizes, and develops the content for the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. This specialist may also assist with the delivery of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served.

  • Document patient sessions and collects outcome data.

  • Case manage patients as experience allows.

  • Lead, monitor, and supervise individual and group therapeutic exercises for patients.

  • Provide individual and group patient education and materials as experience allows

  • Strive to improve the quality of patient care in the department.

  • Maintain confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate of Arts degree in health/medical-related field of study

  • Able to successfully perform the physical/functional responsibilities

  • Experienced with general medical terminology

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work respectfully with diverse population

  • Ability to successfully organize/prioritize multiple tasks while working with multiple patients simultaneously

  • Maintains patient and employer confidentiality

  • Works independently and relate to patients, staff, physicians, and other customers

  • Measures and assesses patient pulse, blood pressure

  • Understanding of Pulmonary medical terminology and medications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Measure and assess cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, blood glucose

  • Determine supplemental oxygen needs for patients

  • Exercise leadership and programming for individual patients and groups

  • Education programming and delivery for patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease

  • Exercise Physiology terminology
