Providence Health & Services Registered Behavior Technician - Providence Autism Program in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Behavior Technician (0.9 FTE, Day Shift) to our Providence Autism Program at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington.
The Registered Behavior Technician provide therapy treatments under the guidance of licensed therapists.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates age specific patient care considerations for the population served:
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PRMCE age specific care competency assessment tool.
Performs assessments of patient’s, skills, behavior, and communication. Observation of child’s behavioral skills, assists in providing training, gathering data about patient’s performance, and assists in delivering feedback:
Implements continuous measurement procedures.
Implements naturalistic and appropriate teaching procedures.
Provides stimulus/ reinforces desired behaviors.
Records/gathers data and assists in conducting functional assessments.
Reports information, as appropriate, to caregivers on patient progress.
Under the supervision of BCBA, provides intervention to patients and assists in carrying-out the treatment plan. Works with the team in measuring, assessing, and evaluating patients’ progress. Ensures findings are communicated to stakeholders, as appropriate:
Coordination (the working together of all parties involved with the person served).
Communication (all modes of exchange of information).
Communicates with stakeholders including children, family, caregivers, and other professionals.
Procedural interventions/provides reinforcement to patients.
Discontinuation of Services:
Refers to BCBA as appropriate.
Works with BCBA in preparation for discharge from service when goals & outcomes have been achieved.
Refers/reports to BCBA to discontinue patient from service when :
Person served or caregiver declines intervention.
Person served or caregiver is unable to progress toward goals.
BCBA and team determines that person served no longer benefits from intervention.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Washington State Behavior Technician Certification, or more advanced certification (i.e. Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training at least 40 hours of RBT training.
Registered Behavior Technician through Behavior Analysis Certification Board
Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician in pediatric rehabilitation
