Providence Health & Services Victim Advocate - Intervention Center - *Per Diem, Nights* in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Victim Advocate (Per Diem, Night Shift) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Provides general, medical and legal advocacy through support, crisis intervention, and information and referrals for adult and child victims and their families. Provides services appropriate to patients in various age groups, cultural backgrounds and disabilities.
In this position you will:
Provide Crisis Line coverage:
Completes crisis line shifts as required by agency protocol.
Responds to answering service in a timely manner; provides crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and resources to clients accessing the crisis line.
Supports victims in emergency departments (ED)
Responds to ED during shift in a timely manner, providing victims and families with age appropriate crisis intervention, emotional support, information, and resources.
Works in concert with the Forensic Nurse, hospital staff, law enforcement and child protective services, when applicable, to address problems and support the victim.
Practices a client centered model of advocacy, empowering clients to make their own choices and create their own plans for recovery
Provides on-site services, as directed by the manager, to high schools, youth shelters, colleges and universities, human service agencies or other community partners.
Completes all necessary client paperwork completely and submits paperwork to office in a timely manner, including all necessary documentation of follow-up contacts.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training sufficient education to read and understand instructions.
Valid Washington driver's license.
