Provides repairs, scheduled maintenance, and calibration on diagnostic imaging equipment and ancillary equipment used within the imaging environment. Services imaging equipment in assigned geography which may include but not limited to the following modalities: CR, Portables, C-Arms, conventional X-Ray, R&F, tomography, mammography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, Cath labs, nuclear medicine or linear accelerators. Service in imaging areas is handled through a combination of in-house and contractual service, managed by the Diagnostic Imaging Service Engineer. Provides a high level of technical support and training to clinical departments in areas of expertise. Incumbent may be expected to be present during the clinical use of equipment in area of expertise and assume responsibility for equipment operation.
Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent education/experience:
Applicable Military training.
Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
8 years of experience as a Radiological Service Engineer or 7 years of experience as a Radiological Service Engineer with CRES (Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist).
- 2 years service experience within a major modality (CT, MR, CVL, RO) or a combination of highly complex equipment as determined by manager.
