Providence Health & Services Receiving and Distribution Clerk in Fullerton, California

Providence St. Joseph is calling a Receiving and Distribution Clerk to our location in Fullerton, CA.

We are seeking a Receiving and Distribution Clerk who will be receiving, delivering, and storing of equipment and supplies in Receiving, supply issue and returns in Central Supply and all supply locations, and inventory management activities in Central Supply and all floor inventory locations. The Materials Tech II will also perform additional duties as directed such as item charge prep, case cart and procedure cart prep, and pack development for clinical areas. Additionally the Tech II will utilize the MMIS programs and hardware to enter information into system-wide database and run necessary reports for analysis of distribution activities. Selected Materials Tech II will perform all asset management functions for selected equipment.

In this position you will:

  • Accurately receive and document all supplies delivered to SJMC and HHN. Delivers same supplies obtaining appropriate documents and signatures. Accurately and timely record activities in MMIS systems. Prepare outgoing shipments with necessary documents to correct carrier. Prepare and secure all necessary documents, working with Purchasing to deal with any supply delivery issues

  • Maintain clean, safe environment, storing all supplies in proper location, operating forklift and other necessary material handling equipment safely. Drive SJMC or HHN delivery vehicles in safe manner

  • Issue stock accurately to requestors in a timely fashion. Retrieve excess stock as needed. Document activities in log sheet and MMIS system

  • Perform inventory management activities such as stock issues, stock credits with accurate, appropriate documentation and enters information in MMIS systems in timely fashion. Inform Supervisor of any change in supply usage for necessary supply level adjustments

  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile to on-hand inventory in Central Supply and all supply locations. Maintain proper stock rotation checking for expiration dates, removing expired stock and informing Purchasing for appropriate action

  • Daily prepare case carts for OR, replenish procedural carts, crash carts, isolation carts as needed

  • Deliver and handle all I.V. and irrigation related solutions

  • Assist Clinical floor managers by stocking critical areas to assure adequate stock levels with regard to current census and divisional needs. Make recommendations to Supervisor and Clinical leader and assists with plan implementation and follow up

  • Use hand-held devices to assist with inventory activities in Par Excellence and PMM. Assist with assuring accurate patient billing occurs in timely fashion

  • Deliver needed clinical equipment to requested location in timely manner. Maintain all necessary documentation for tracking and charging purposes. Returnsall used/unused equipment to Central Supply for decontamination and for re-entry into system

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Two (2) years Materials Management experience

  • Supply technician certification or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

  • Two (2) years Materials Management hospital based experience

  • Experience in report analysis associated with distribution activities
