Certified Nursing Assistant in the Medical Surgical Department at Providence Hood River Hospital located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge! This is an On Call position that typically works 12-hour Night shifts on weekdays and weekends.
The CNA2/HUC is a key person within the nursing unit who provides overall administrative and technical assistance and support in the operation of the assigned nursing unit; Collaborates with other staff and leaders in the development, oversight and operation of the unit. This position is the hub of all communication to and from the nursing unit and greatly impacts the 'tone' of the unit/shift.
Training in a recognized health care program or 1 year experience performing secretarial duties in healthcare
Medical terminology course or Health Unit Coordinator course: Equivalent knowledge
Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course or Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements
Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Experience with a variety of software applications
1 year of post-high school education.
Satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator course or equivalent educ/experience
Upon hire: National Certification Health Unit Coordinator
Experience as a preceptor/role model
1 year experience as a CNA 2
