Providence Manager Medicare Producer (Orange County) in Irvine, California

Description

Providence is seeking a Manager Medicare Producer - Medicare Sales based in Orange County, CA who will:

  • Be responsible for the sales growth of the Medicare Advantage producer sales channel in their assigned market(s)

  • Recruit new General Agencies/Producers to sell Medicare Advantage products

  • Develop relationships with assigned General Agencies/Producers to assist them in achieving their sales goals

  • Train and monitor agents

  • Provide needed support in areas such as contracting, certification, marketing and commissions; and assist local market management in strategy development

Major Challenges:

  • Development of enrollment projections, predicting competitive environment, shifting strategies to meet projections

  • Recruitment, assessing, training and managing GAs/Producers

  • Creating and maintaining a team atmosphere in a fast paced environment

  • Balancing Health Plan guidelines and policies with the demands and expectations of GA/Producer

  • Establish production efficiencies in cooperation with the other functional areas to minimize duplication of effort and maximize customer responsiveness

In this position you will:

  • Be accountable for developing and implementing new sales and customer retention strategies to achieve new sales goals by targeted lines of business

  • Establish relationships with key producer and general agent partners in the assigned market, educate producers on PHA compelling value proposition, and understand their member relationships and potential fit within PHA's offering

  • Effectively communicate plan benefits, network, and value adds, internally and externally

  • Work closely with sales operations to leverage quantitative skills for market analyses and detailed sales tracking

  • Develop CMS compliant producer marketing strategies and materials

  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of GA/Producer trainings

  • Assist with producer ride-alongs, trainings and evaluations

  • Work on development and on-going overview of territory Marketing Plans with GAs/Producers

  • Assist in business development strategies

  • Generate regular reports on each GA and or Independent Producer to determine Corrective Action Plan if needed or relationship ended

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience

  • 5 years' experience in Medicare health insurance sales

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience working with Medicare producers

  • Local market experience, including established producer relationships

  • Current valid statehealth insurance licenses required -OR- the ability to obtain licensure within sixty (60) days of a hire date

  • Professional designation/certification
