Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Financial Analyst PSJH to our location in Irvine, CA.
Providence St. Joseph Health, Southern California Region is seeking a motivated, mission focused, results-driven and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to work remotely based out of our location in Irvine, California. This role will play an integral role in our healthcare transformation journey by providing financial, strategic and economic analyses to drive diversified growth opportunities, insights into current performance, and recommendations to region-wide collaborative groups of clinical leaders and administrative executives. As we continue to move to a patient centric, digitally enabled health care model utilizing strategic partnerships and new sources of revenue, the need to understand and effectively communicate value creation drivers and sustainable financial strategies is paramount to delivering the PSJH mission.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Gather and analyze financial and operational results to understand and report underlying causes for business performance and variance
Within the scope of the team, develop financial, operational and statistical analysis both routine and ad hoc for all functional areas of the Southern California Region. By its nature, these projects will be complex, incorporate high risk and return and have material impact to the Region
Provide query and reporting expertise to facilitate analytical research using a variety of source systems
Support Regional Leadership team with data and financial analytical needs
Work with other Analysts and business end-users to identify and understand project needs, key performance indicators and data analysis requirements
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of caregivers within the organization; clinical to executive management
Ability to work autonomously with minimal assistance
Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security
Provides guidance, assistance and training to junior-level analysts
Ability to work remotely
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent education/experience.
5 years analytical and business experience (4 years of directly related experience may substitute for the required degree).
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Business Administration.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
2 years healthcare related experience.
