Providence is seeking a Senior IS Analyst:

Responsible for delivering business value by leading and providing technical analysis within the IS organization regarding systems integration and operational activities. Positions at this level apply advanced principles, theories and concepts and may contribute to the development of solutions to complex problems. The work involved is usually highly important to the business objectives of the enterprise, high-risk and/or time sensitive. Manages complex projects, establishes and implements new or revised technology processes and procedures. Contributes to and advises on solution scope and objectives and resolves complex technical issues. All duties must be performed in a manner that promotes success, and reflects the Providence St. Joseph Health mission, philosophy, and core values.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead analysis of macro-level workflows related to impact of technology changes in support of mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, Community Technologies products or other efforts enabling connectivity or integration.

  • Lead activities of project team, mentors and assists others in support of applications, projects and goals.

  • Perform operational activities in support of large scale projects and programs requiring technical coordination between various IS or business disciplines.

  • Coordinate and facilitate assessment activities which include identifying, assessing, designing, implementing, and supporting complex technology change initiatives across the enterprise.

  • Specify necessary data, information and process documentation as needed to support other IS teams and clinical operations staff. Author and/or edit resulting communications and documentation.

  • Facilitates and coordinates the development and analysis of complex test plans. Acts as a resource during testing and upgrades; coordinates with appropriate individuals.

  • Plans and coordinates downtime, change management, maintenance, and upgrades. Performs capacity planning and vendor management.

  • Develops, manages and executes project plans that are integrated and synchronized with other projects. Adjusts plans as required to ensure successful delivery on commitments and efficient use of resources. Comfortably handles risk and uncertainty.

  • Works with complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables and the exercise of good judgment in selecting methods and techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Perform rotational on-call responsibilities.

Job Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, analyze and communicate business requirements from multiple customers across disparate functions.

  • Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to organize workload to ensure that the timeframes are met and the work is successfully completed within deadlines.

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of spreadsheet, database, word processing and desktop publishing software.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Healthcare or similar.

  • 8 years of experience working with infrastructure and/or application technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Healthcare technology experience.
