Providence Sr. Manager Clinical Support - Kodiak (Relocation Offered) in Kodiak, Alaska
Providence is calling a Senior Manager Clinical Support (Patient Care Services, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Kodiak Medical Center in Kodiak, Alaska. In this position you will:
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISION: Direct the activities of the departments to ensure that continuous quality and cost effective services are provided. Provide necessary support to staff members to ensure that they are able to perform their work. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure stable and effective services.
ENSURING QUALITY OF CARE: Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility including but not limited to CMS, TJC, OSHA, Department of Health and Human Services.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT: Serve as a professional role model for staff, demonstrating creativity, vision, insight, energy, and commitment, supporting the mission of the organization, adherence to Core Values, and fostering operational and financial success in service to those in need.
COLLABORATION: Participate in developing and implementing mechanisms for collaboration between all departments, with physicians, and community agencies to coordinate patient care activities.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Develop departmental budgets and major expenditure requests for approval of administration. Develop and implement cost containment procedures to insure efficient department operations.
Participate with other departments in various hospital activities and committees.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, business, or related field or additional 4 years progressive management experience in lieu of Education
4 years progressive management experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years experience working in a matrix reporting environment
About Kodiak Island Medical Center:
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center (PKIMC) provides comprehensive health care to residents and visitors of Kodiak Island. This critical access hospital features 25 acute care beds, including four birthing suites, one OB triage room, and two ICU beds. In addition, the Elder House, PKIMC’s long term care facility, has 22 beds.
PKIMC provides an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency department, surgery, laboratory services, maternity, general medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, specialty clinics, diagnostic imaging services and pharmacy and is staffed by a mix of primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists who provide family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics, radiology and general practice.
