Providence Health & Services Home Health Aide (CNA)- Home Health Sound in Lacey, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a Home Health Aide (CNA) (Home Health Sound, Days, 1.0 FTE) to SCS Hospice in Lacey, Washington. Home Health caregivers will tell you there are significant advantages to caring for individuals and families in their own homes.

In this position you will:

  • Performs appropriate and safe personal hygiene and grooming including:

  • Bed, sponge, or tub bath

  • Shower assistance

  • Nail and skin care

  • Oral hygiene

  • Toileting

  • Perform simple wound dressing

  • Teaches these techniques to patient/patient family when directed in plan of care.

  • Transfers patients safely, using both good transfer techniques for patient safety and good body mechanics for caregiver safety.

  • Maintains a clean, safe and healthy environment. Communicates safety hazards and environmental health hazards to primary clinician and/or team members.

  • Assist patient in home excercise program (as ordered by therapist)

  • Demonstrates knowledge of care plans as developed by primary clinician and team.

  • Prioritizes patient’s needs and meet care plan objectives.

  • Reports and documents patient status and the care (or service) provided in relation to the individual care plan.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant course

  • 1 year of experience as an aide in an acute or rehabilitative facility.

  • Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification.

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license.

  • Proof of vehicle insurance.

  • Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification required.

Preferred qualification for this position include:

  • Experience as a home health aide
