Providence Laboratory Aide II in Missoula, Montana
Providence is calling a Laboratory Aide II (Clinical Laboratory Services, Days, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization
Participate in creating an HRO culture throughout the staff.
Provide training of new employees and other hospital staff.
Ensure procedures/standard work are followed throughout specimen collection, labeling, receipt, transportation, and relaying providers’ results.
Ensure that any specimen that arrives in the laboratory does not go unattended.
Notify appropriate personnel of problems related to specimen collection or testing.
Utilize a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to ensure that testing is completed at the appropriate time to meet clinical needs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Three (3) months completed phlebotomy checklist and competency.
Three (3) months completed processing checklist and competency.
One (1) year completed client services checklist and competency.
Must have worked in Saint Patrick Laboratory a minimum of one year in order to be promoted to Lab Aide II.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED
