Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Ostomy Coordinator (Wound Care) (1.0FTE, Day) to Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. In this position you will:
Collaborate closely with physicians, outpatient and inpatient health care professionals and nursing staff.
Utilize skills in organization, leadership, planning, implementing, evaluating and providing care of adult and geriatric patients.
Work within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follow all WCC and affiliate hospital policies and procedures.
Comply with hospital, WCC and nursing philosophies/standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities.
Support the goals and objectives of Wound Care Center and SPHHSC.
Plan for program operations and inpatient care, as well as patient discharge needs to proceed smoothly at the highest quality.
Work closely with the primary care physician to plan, implement and coordinate the patient’s discharge needs for comprehensive skin and wound care.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current licensure in the State of Montana as a Registered Nurse
Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification
Two (2) or more years of clinical experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Advanced degree and/or formal management education
Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) Certification
Wound Care experience
Background with in-service and community presentations
