Providence Health & Services Workforce Analyst - Revenue Cycle in Montana

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Workforce Analyst to work remotely within AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.

We are seeking a Workforce Analyst who will plan and manage workforce availability to match demand based on volumes, and service delivery and performance targets.

This includes:

• Developing and implementing systems and processes to plan and manage workforce schedules.

• Identify and promote issues that impede workforce availability.

The functions described in this position description carry out the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Providence Health & Services (PH&S) by ensuring that all healthcare services provided at the facility are billed and paid both accurately and timely. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, the incumbent serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, monitor and report workforce availability to ensure staffing levels match the demands of volume, and service delivery and performance targets.

  • Generate schedules to match predicted demand and communicate these well in advance to minimize potential issues

  • Manage requests for time off work to ensure staffing levels are in line with demand

  • Manage requests for temporary and permanent schedule changes to promote staff morale while achieving business needs.

  • Administer Kronos as a timekeeper to ensure accurate records are kept.

  • Monitor and escalate attendance and schedule adherence issues in a timely manner.

  • Initiate, update and reset system access to ensure staff members have the tools necessary for success.

  • Research, recommend and report on process, procedural or system changes that will enhance workforce planning and availability.

  • Identify, analyze and escalate major issues and trends relating to workforce availability or scheduling so that strategic and tactical decisions can be taken.

  • Design and prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports for senior level management to help monitor overall performance, and flag issues on an “early warning” basis.

  • Document all processes and procedures for the Workforce Analyst role so there is a knowledge base available for another analyst to support the primary role as needed.

  • Some responsibility for department reports/reporting.

  • The Workforce Analyst will cross train on the essential functions of the Reporting Analyst to ensure business needs are met.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to foster an environment of best practice.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, and financial information. Maintain confidentiality of all Providence Health & Services Revenue Cycle and client information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adherence to all HIPAA rules and regulations.

  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements as well as Providence Health & Services policies and procedures in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in workforce planning in a call center/customer service environment.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Medical revenue cycle management experience.
