We are seeking a Service Partner - Benedictine Assisted Living that will be responsible for providing assistance with personal care/activities of daily living to residents of Orchard House. Provides resident treatments, medication management, and care duties as delegated by the RN Service Coordinator/Housing Director
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Report observations/information regarding changes in residents care/condition to RN case manager in a timely manner
Participate in care conferences with other staff, residents, and family members
Facilitate activities for the residents
Respect at all times the privacy of the residents
Answer residents call lights in a timely manner and attends to residents needs while respecting individual preferences, and avoiding condescending attitudes
Provide cares in accordance with Service Plans
Respond to and acts appropriately in emergency situations, and assists/coordinates evacuation efforts
Assist in keeping neighborhood and facility neat and clean
Set up neighborhood dining room areas for meals, assisting residents during meals, and cleans area after meal time
Attend all in-services/meetings and other programs for facility specialization and standards
Precept new staff and students for training and orientation as requested
Participate in QI activities
Maintain good rapport by interacting in conflict or stressful situations in a manner that facilitates constructive resolution
Complete work/charting in a timely manner requesting/assisting with help when necessary
Communicate effectively and manages conflict in a positive manner
Respond to criticism by effecting an appropriate change in behavior
Interact with family members in a supportive, professional manner
Complete Service Partner training and is able to administer medications per MD orders
Required qualifications for this position include:
Service Partner training
Current Oregon Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check is required for this position
