Providence Substance Use Navigator in Napa, California

The Substance Use Disorder Navigator (SUN) is an integral team member of a statewide initiative to improve access to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). The SUN serves as a consistent and knowledgeable resource of Substance Use Disorder (SUD), MOUD treatment programs and serves as a bridge between the Emergency Department, Hospital Admissions, and treatment settings including withdrawal management, outpatient care, inpatient care, SUD/MOUD treatment programs. SUN will connect patients to resources for management of care needs.

Required qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Or equivalent education/experience.

  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

  • 2 years Substance use disorder navigation experience in community social services, case management, or similar setting.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Certified Addictions and Treatment Counselor upon hire.

  • Substance Use Treatment Program or Medical setting experience.
