Providence Health & Services Director Ecommerce in Oregon

Providence is calling an Ecommerce Director to one of our location in WA, MT, AK, OR, CA, NM, or TX.

We are seeking an Ecommerce Director who will take ownership of all aspects of digital acquisition (organic and paid), reputation management, merchandising, checkout/registration, and conversion rate optimization programs. This role seeks a seasoned leader who has been able to grow ecommerce business or digital channels within a greater organization.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience growing ecommerce or digital acquisition channels and can lead a seasoned team of subject matter experts and external partners to bring our healthcare digital experience beyond patient expectations of ease and convenience.

Key Workstreams:

Traffic Acquisition: SEO and SEM channels are critical in the patient journey, and ownership of these functions are essential for the role. Today search is the beginning and end of most patient journeys, and our ability to be discovered, considered, and selected is driven by a combination of Local SEO (GMB, etc.), Technical SEO (directories), strong keyword/audience aptitude, and ability to lead a team of content creation and optimization resources. You will also maintain sophisticated local and CPA driven paid programs, and be expected to maintain a competitive edge through experimentation and adoption of new technologies.

Reputation Management: More than ever, reviews beget discovery in healthcare and our providers and locations will only succeed if their best-in-class care is properly communicated to inquisitive patients. With a mature program already in-place, this role will be responsible for managing a distributed group of operations and clinical care leaders to improve our greater online reputation through refinement of best practices, automation, an management of goals.

Merchandising/Conversion Optimization: Where and when a patient lands on our site matters much more than web traffic, and this role is responsible for programs overseeing both. The instrumentation of shopping/scheduling tools, design, UX, and improvements are all responsibilities of the Ecommerce Director, and they will manage a team of SMEs to continue to develop a best-in-class patient experience.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Search

  • Define site search, provider directory, and location directory strategy, including definition of roadmap for exposing online scheduling and enabling provider discovery.

  • Merchandising

  • Maintain and grow partnerships with regional marketing team and physician relations teams to encourage data accuracy and develop mutually beneficial merchandising campaigns.

  • Reputation: Lead and establish evolving best practices to improve review performance and end user participation.

  • Analytics / Measurement

  • Responsible for ongoing refinement and performance driven campaigns to maximize patient engagement, minimize friction to success, and increase overall visibility of our services and availability, and do all of the above in a quantifiable against measurable goals.

  • Mobile

  • Our patients need us when they do, and mobile design and engagement are at the forefront of our future product design, and the ideal candidate will have experience in adapting to the context of the user.

  • CRO

  • Ability to identify and understand opportunities to trial into patient experiences to continuously increase goal performance and improve patient outcomes.

  • Taxonomy / Ontology / Schema

  • Organization and presentation of integrated web content, location, and provider directory search interfaces as well ensuring intuitive and delightful patient experiences.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or Liberal Arts or equivalent education/experience.

  • More than 10 years working with and improving consumer web experiences toward clearly defined business goals.

  • 5 years managing direct-to-consumer eCommerce channels.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business Admin or equivalent education/experience.

  • 2 years Managing SEO Campaigns.

  • 2 years User Interface design and improvement.

  • 5 years Web Analytics.
