Providence Health & Services Senior Operational Reporting Analyst in Oregon
Providence St. Joesph Health is calling a Senior Operational Reporting Analyst to work within any of our footprint states.
We are seeking an Senior Operational Reporting Analyst to be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving operational reports and dashboards to support achievement of key operational deliverables and performance indicators. The Senior Reporting Analyst provides reports on a daily, weekly, monthly as well as adhoc basis to ensure timely information and insights are provided in support of the operations. Complete metrics research and analysis to support performance improvement initiatives. Analyze data available through operational reports to identify trends, issues requiring process re-engineering or system break fix or optimizations. Work closely and partner with information services, finance, as well as internal Revenue Cycle teams in the Clinical Revenue Integrity pillar and other RCS deparments to ensure information and insights are provided timely. Support modernization efforts for HIM / Coding by analyzing and providing insights to the operational leadership.
In this position you will:
Develop operational reports to enable leadership to manage the overall performance of the HIM & Coding functional areas.
Develop deep understanding of the HIM & Coding business operations as well as the EDW and other reporting databases in order to identify the correct data elements to produce daily, weekly, monthly as well as adhoc operational reports to support performance improvement.
Build analyses and identify trends as well as performance issues and communicate these insights to leadership to enable operational actions to be developed to rectify issues or move toward sustainable improvement.
Develop analyses and reports to support strategic and operational initiatives including financial evaluation and ongoing monitoring of progress to plan and target.
Identify and make recommendations for improving existing processes and follow through as needed with supporting trended data.
Proactively identify and implement enhancements and optimizations to workflows and the use of technology solutions in the Epic environment.
Coordinates in a lead role to satisfy system or other requirements for applications associated with the Epic environment.
Documents, tests and tracks issues including follow through on system issues impacting delivery of operational reporting and analyses.
Use reporting tools to develop operational reports to track and monitor operational performance and delivery.
Analyze data available through operational reports to identify trends, issues requiring process re-engineering or system break fix or optimizations.
Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting repositories ensuring all data sources are documented as well as underpinning programming logic for the report.
Provide finance, accounting, and other teams including internal HIM & Coding teams with the information needed to identify and assure operational performance and delivery of key performance indicators.
Evaluate coding process flows and procedures and identify potential areas for performance improvement opportunity; liaise with him / coding leadership to approve and implement process remediation recommendations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Health information management, coding, data anlytics or related field of study or equivalent educ/experience
5 years Related experience in healthcare, revenue cycle or finance
3 years Related experience in operational analysis and reporting
