Providence Health & Services Account Resolution Specialist I in Portland, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling an Account Resolution Specialist I (Business Office, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services in Portland, Oregon. In this position you will:

  • Make outbound calls to request payment of delinquent account balance, negotiate payment plans or utilize other account resolution methods while achieving established call quality and performance standards.

  • Work with AE inventory and payment plan defaults.

  • Skip trace accounts to obtain updated demographic information to assist in resolving account balance.

  • Use call center technology, predictive dialers, account scheduling, payment follow up and problem solving techniques to resolve accounts.

  • Review accounts to determine suitability for outside collection efforts to bring to final resolution.

  • Ensure that all known contract insurances have been properly billed. Analyze billing issues and payor questions to determine next course of action.

  • Log and resolve lower level complaints and refer more complex complaints through the company's dispute process or to the Collections Lead or Collections Supervisor.

  • Research payment discrepancies by retrieving documents and coordinate appropriate corrections.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • 2 years experience in call center, billing, collections or financial industry.
