Providence is calling a Administrative Assistant 3 - Pharmacy (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Saint Vincent Medical Center, OR
We are seeking a Administrative Assistant 3 - Pharmacy that will perform full secretarial and administrative functions of a highly responsible and confidential nature for the Director of Pharmacy and the Management Team and Pharmacy Staff. This position requires considerable judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action taken on non-routine situations.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide full and complex administrative and secretarial functions of a highly responsible and confidential nature to the Director of Pharmacy, and Department Management Team and Staff
Assist Director, and management team members in preparation of meetings with staff, management, committee meetings and other hospital professionals including scheduling, preparing meeting notices, preparing meeting minutes and ensuring appropriate follow up
Assist with departmental billing. Prints and reviews Daily Pharmacy Transaction Log for billing accuracy
Maintain policies and procedures posted on Document Central as well as SharePoint for department documents, schedules and working tools
Process purchase requests and purchase orders
Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety and infection control into daily activities as outlined in Environment of Care, Infection Control and Exposure manuals, uses protective equipment and takes appropriate precautions whenever there is potential for contact with blood, body fluids and/or chemicals.
Maintain knowledge of work appropriate aspects of environment of care program and completes required Healthstream education
Participate in fire and disaster drills
Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities
Treat all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others
Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relations dealing with others, including patients/family/members, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized
Required qualifications for this position include:
Five (5) years of work experience preferably in healthcare industry, including a position equal to executive or administrative assistant to include advanced computer skills and working knowledge of a variety of software programs and communication vehicles
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in data entry, data processing and financial tracking and reconciliation of billing charges
