Providence Clinic Manager I - Express Care in Portland, Oregon

Providence is calling a Clinic Manager I - ExpressCare (1.0 FTE, Days) to support our express care team in Portland, OR.
Our Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing 4-5 Express Care clinics (stand alone or within Walgreen's locations) comprising of 15-17 direct reports (Medical Assistants). The Clinic Manager will look to manage day to day operations of the clinics which can include (but not limited to) ordering, staff scheduleing, managing clinic budges as well as ensuring quality metrics are being met. We foresee this position will consist of working in clinic (50%) and working off site (50%) either at home or within a Providence office facility. An Ideal candidate would have clinical experience working within an outpatient clinic setting.
We are seeking a Clinic Manager I - ExpressCare - Ec Or Admin that will provide ongoing leadership for the development and implementation of management and patient care systems to assure cost-effective and quality operations of the clinic. Ensures strategic integration of are and clinical practices to provide an optimal patient experience. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Work closely with the ExpressCare Clinics Lead Providers and Medical Director(s) to ensure that expectations of the patients and providers are met
Collaborate with Directors to determine or make recommendations on operating policy changes
Have decision that are focused on daily operations of clinics; may be project driven
Manage daily operations of up to 6 clinics
Manage staff; responsible for recruitment and/terminations and managing performance
Be responsible for succession planning and career development guidance
Determine processes that affect assigned clinics; recommends and implements process improvement and policy changes for assigned clinics to address areas of deficiency in patients’ concerns, production, quality of care and financial analysis
Successfully navigate through issues that impact/affect Providers, clinics operations, clinics compliance and business goals and understands their correlation and impact
Develop, recommend and implement strategic planning related to the clinics, the region, and the ExpressCare network; participate in marketing strategies to develop programs to enhance and further develop the clinic’s competitive position
Develop, monitor and adhere to annual clinics operating budget including projecting patient levels, revenue, technical and professional fees, equipment expenditures, staff and employee growth and space needs
Make budgetary decisions for assigned clinics; accountability is direct and focused on exercising sound judgment according to defined policies and determines appropriate action
Be responsible for ensuring administrative and operational effectiveness for a clinic
Be responsible for identifying and discontinuing careless or negligent patient care due to staff skills, errors, faulty judgment or inadequate processes, policies or workflows specific to a clinic
Provide education and direction to providers and staff on the organization’s direction, initiatives and philosophy
Develop and maintain an effective organizational structure to facilitate clinics goals
Manage recruitment, retention, training, compensation, and performance management of all clinics support staff
Identify and address patients’ concerns, complaints and patient satisfaction survey in an appropriate and timely manner in accordance with ExpressCare customer service guidelines
Analyze monthly financial and operational reports for statistical data on patient levels, clinics productions and revenues
Oversee accounts payable, purchasing/inventory, payroll, billing and collection functions for the clinics
Oversee clinics participation and compliance in all ExpressCare programs; oversee quality and medical management programs for the clinic; assure compliance of same
Assist with selection/onboarding of providers
Develop and maintains effective and professional relationships with all patients, staff, and providers
Coordinate marketing materials and programs with business development staff
Oversee the maintenance of the clinics building, offices and equipment
Lead monthly all-staff meetings and actively participates in ongoing provider meetings
Lead staff to ensure that patient care services are provided in a timely manner which are sensitive to the patient's physical and psychological needs
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Bachelor's Degree in Health-related field or business -OR- four (4) years of progressively responsible clinic experience will be accepted
One (1) year of Healthcare management, physician practice management and/or clinical operations experience
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Three (3) years equivalent work experience which includes management experience. Demonstrated progression into increasingly responsible leadership/management roles, -OR- six (6) years Healthcare experience
Strong knowledge of Epic EMR
