We are seeking a CT Technologist - CT Scanner who will perform CT examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing sophisticated CT equipment, taking into account individual patients special or age-related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Competently operate CT equipment, determines and sets imaging factors and manipulates software utilizing all relevant factors to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal and acceptable repeat rates
Produce and presents images and related, pertinent patient information to physician for diagnosis
Provide for high quality diagnostic CT images by preparing and administering various contrast mixtures
Assist physicians with procedures as required
Review patients charts and orders to ensure correct examination
Adjust equipment to achieve optimal resolution, performs regular maintenance testing, informing lead/manager of need for outside repair
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)(R) certification -OR- ARRT (CT) certification required upon hire, -OR- within six (6) months of employment
Current Oregon licensure
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Adequate skill in starting and maintaining intravenous lines
Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within one month of hire
Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
