Providence Health & Services Home Health Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an Home Health Aide / CNA (1.0 FTE, Days) to join our team of Home Health professionals in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Home Health Aide that will be under the supervision of a registered nurse provides supportive personal care services to patients of all ages within their homes according to the individualized physical needs of the patient in accordance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Performs all duties and functions to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrates positive interactions with the public, and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, and other department employees
Maintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, and as appropriate, other information.
Supports and contributes to effective safety and risk management efforts by adhering to established policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention, and identifying and reporting potential liabilities.
Encourages or assists the patient to become as independent as possible within medically determined limitations and promotes general rehabilitation through ambulation and exercise as prescribed.
Provides or assists with personal care, bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, hair and nail hygiene and other activities of daily living.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
2 years experience –OR- Nursing student with current CNA
State Home Health Aide certification or successful completion (80% or better) of OAHC HHA certification within two weeks of hire
Valid driver's license
Driving record consistent with GOP Safe Driving Policy 330 Incident Point Matrix at time of hire
Current BLS (Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 30 days of hire
