Providence Health & Services Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a MRI Technologist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence St.Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position you will:
Perform Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
Utilize knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Licensed through Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) License as a MRI Technologist
New graduates must have an OBMI Temporary Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) License upon hire, and obtain a permanent MRI license within 6 months from date that the temporary license was issued
Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology (ARMRIT)
ARRT -or- ARMRIT (MR) certification upon hire, or within 6 months of employment
Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire
Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
Ability to read, write and speak English
Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
