This is a hybrid position and will require working at the drive thru testing sites in the Portland Metro Area.

We are seeking a Patient Experience Specialist - Alternative Care Site which will be the first point of contact for new customers calling Providence Medical Group to establish care. This position provides highly effective communication, concierge service, and on-going liaison support to ease the way of new patients, patients moving to a new clinic, or established patients calling before their clinics open. This position also supports Express Care, Express Care Virtual clinics, and Immediate Care clinics. Coordination and scheduling of appointments, accurately collecting information and performing on-boarding activities for new patients will be performed on a daily basis. This position works closely with Providence Health Plan and ensures that the scheduling standards are met. Manual tracking of appointments are completed by this position and given to PMG Senior Leadership to help with Access decision making. Additional admin duties are accomplished as needed.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and serves as first point of contact to patients by phone for all primary care clinics and Express Care clinics in Northern Oregon and SW Washington
Accurately register patients; verify insurance and collect demographic information in a friendly and courteous telephone manner while following company policies and compliance
Schedule and coordinate appointments and monitor appointment schedules daily; work acute and emergency patients into practitioners schedules
Provide on-boarding services to specific insurance carriers accepted with the medical group
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Two (2) years customer service experience
Typing speed: minimum of 45 words per minute
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Office applications
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge of skillfully giving feedback
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
One (1) year medical office or health care experience
Medical terminology experience
Bilingual (Spanish and Russian)
