Providence Pharmacy Delivery Driver in Portland, Oregon


Providence is calling a Pharmacy Delivery Driver - Plaza Pharmacy (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Professional Plaza in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Delivery Driver - Plaza Pharmacy that will use Providence-owned delivery vehicles to deliver medications and supplies to patients in their homes. Drivers will also resupply pharmacy kiosks and transfer stock and supplies between pharmacies as needed. Responsibilities will include proper storage and security of the stock en route, monitoring vehicle maintenance, cashiering, facilitating communication between patients and the pharmacy, and route planning. Drivers will cover clerks or assistants as needed.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver medications and supplies to the residences of pharmacy patients

  • Resupply pharmacy kiosks

  • Adhere to all applicable driving laws

  • Monitor vehicle function and maintenance schedule to ensure repair and routine maintenance is completed in a timely manner

  • Conduct transactions to collect payment for medications

  • Communicate in a timely manner any concerns regarding issues with delivery

  • Provide great Customer Service with all pharmacy customers, promoting communication and using proactive problem solving skills


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • High School Diploma -OR- GED

  • Valid Driver License

  • Exceptional customer service skills

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Five (5) years of Driving experience with delivery experience preferred

  • Experience in sales, food service, or other customer service role

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems

  • Basic personal computer skills
