Program Manager, Multiple Site Clinicial Trials Start-up (Remote within our footprint states)

The Program Manager, Multiple Site Clinical Trials Start-up will serve as the key systemwide research liaison responsible for representing, managing and growing the Providence St. Joseph Health Enterprise Research Portfolio. He/she will work diligently to build lasting rapport with system/regional/ministry research staff and principal investigators to quickly identify clinical research opportunities across the enterprise for PSJH patients. Serves as the single point of contact for research staff/PI issue resolution and quality feedback. As an enterprise clinical research domain subject matter expert, he/she will also play a key role in the expansion of the PSJH research footprint across the organization. In addition, this role will also provide technical clinical research expertise and support as needed to ensure key PSJH E-Data commercial deliverables are met. This role will report to the PSJH Health Insights Director of Client Services and will have specific accountability to the Executive Director of Research Operations as well as members of the PSJH-E Data Commercialization team. The position will focus in particular on physician/principal investigator and clinical research portfolio management while working closely with the Health Insights and Enterprise Research Ops teams to define program/project deliverables.

These responsibilities span the Providence St. Joseph Health facilities and sites throughout the entire health system across the continuum of care. Successful candidate must perform all duties in a manner that promotes project team success, advances the goals and mission of the Department, Division and System.

Works diligently to build lasting rapport with system/regional/ministry research staff and principal investigators to quickly identify clinical trial opportunities across the enterprise for PSJH patients. Serves as the single point of contact for research staff/PI issue resolution and quality feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison: Creates and promotes collaborative and proactive working environment with and between PSJH research staff/PI's, Health Insights and Research Operations teams to enable strong and valuable relationships across PSJH Clinical Research.

  • Intake/Visioning: Works closely with the Director of Client Services to understand and execute on key goals and vision/purpose of the role at an administrative and executory level.

  • Clinical Research Expertise: Thoroughly understands the clinical trial process along with a deep knowledge base of good clinical practice and ICH guidelines and how to apply them for the stewardship of PSJH patients. Serves as clinical trial and clinical research portfolio subject matter expert and possesses understanding of regional/enterprise clinical research expertise and endeavors.

  • Report Validation/Accuracy: Serves as clinical trial subject matter expert for clinical trial prescreening reporting; critically evaluates the output of reports to ensure a high degree of accuracy for key stakeholders.

  • Reporting/Analysis: Works with stakeholders to develop reporting methodology, format and process for efficient and accurate clinical subject/site/principal investigator identification to streamline and accelerate/improve clinical site/PI selection process to promote and provide meaningful impact on PSJH patients.

  • Research Staff/Principal Investigator Identification: Works diligently to build lasting rapport with system/regional/ministry research staff and principal investigators to quickly identify clinical trial opportunities across the enterprise for PSJH patients. Serves as the single point of contact for research staff/PI issue resolution and quality feedback.

  • Project Management/Performance Improvement: Facilitates multiple projects/clinical trials with proven results.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Master's Degree/The equivalent of at least a Master's degree in health care, a clinical discipline, public health, business, or related field required. Clinical Discipline includes, Nursing, Infection Prevention, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Quality or Foreign Medical Graduate.

  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) within 1 year of hire.

  • 3 years experience working directly with biopharma sponsors in clinical trial oversight and optimization using the Epic EMR.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Equivalent of at least 5 years of progressive responsibility in managing clinical research programs, familiarity with research compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Equivalent of at least 3 years of responsibility managing clinical trials in a large, multi-site integrated health system setting. Preferably within the oncology service line.
