Providence RN Clinical Educator Coordinator in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling an RN Clinical Educator Coordinator to the Providence University Portland Simulation Laboratory Project in Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Clinical Educator Coordinator that will report to the Regional Manager of Clinical Orientation and Development. The position is accountable for Emergency Specialty residency and fellowship, Emergency Department education and development needs in the Oregon region, and contribute to the orientation of new caregivers. This role also contributes to the regional clinical education efforts by authoring, implementing, and evaluating clinical education and competency assessment activities on a regional basis and across the care continuum.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Provide support to the continuing education program for the enhancement of practice, education, administration, research and theory development.
Work on a program that is built on the varied experience and roles of Emergency Department clinical staff across PH&S Oregon.
Provide leadership and support to the implementation of Oregon Region Emergency Department goals to ensure staff competence, continued professional advancement, patient safety, and the achievement of patient care outcomes across the continuum.
Manage a program designed to educate nurses who are new to the Emergency Department as well as provides leadership to departmental initiatives.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current unencumbered licensure as an RN by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS or ENPC certification
Participation in professional organization(s)
Three (3) years’ experience in nursing education or leadership
3 years of clinical experience in Emergency nursing
Previous demonstrated experience with presenting to various audiences.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing Education or Nursing Science
Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC)
National Certification: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN)
