Providence Sales Communication Specialist in Portland, Oregon
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Sales Communication Specialist to our location in Portland, OR.
We are seeking a Sales Communication Specialist who will assist in developing and executing a communication strategy to support the producer engagement strategy for small and large group, ASO and ancillary lines. In this aspect of the role, it is important for the individual to be a strategic thinker who can "see the field" and work across functions and lines of business to develop holistic communication interventions (ad hoc as well as planned/periodic vehicles) for various producer audience segments.
It is expected that a significant percentage this position's effort (50 % ) will be directed by the Sr. Manager of Sales Enablement and Planning for Medicare & Individual products to develop and create sales training (external audience) and other producer focused communication in support of the health plan's growth objectives.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Understanding differences in sales channels and is able to develop and create appropriate communication and training materials for these audiences across PHP’s product lines.
Possesses practical skills in designing, writing and creating communication vehicles including newsletters, presentations (PowerPoint), websites, emails, etc…
Identifies trending topics and works with PHP subject matter experts in other departments to create and deliver appropriate producer communication and/or value-added training (e.g., continuing education) for the targeted channel.
Evaluates current periodic communication vehicles (e.g., Medicare Partners Pulse Newsletters) and develop a strategy for delivering periodic communication across all PHP LOBs/sales channels.
Maintain the yearly Medicare sales calendar
Create and maintain sales training and enablement content
Create and deliver ad hoc producer communication (e.g., Broker e-blasts) in response to critical trending issues.
Maintain and update policies and procedures
Manage the Medicare & Individual certification programs
Ensure training initiatives are aligned with company objectives and goals
Design and create effective PowerPoint presentations to a variety of audiences
Identify and refine onboarding requirements at 30, 60, 90, 180 & 365 days of a sales person journey, across all sales
segments and roles
Manage and maintain sales enablement structure, execution, and overall training content and resources
Adhere to the marketing & regulatory guidelines
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of SalesForce CRM and ability to use the system to deliver targeted communication to PHP's appointed producers.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders in sales and marketing to develop and deliver communications for the producer audience.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, advertising, communications, creating writing, journalism or related field or equivalent education/experience.
2 years project management experience.
5 years experience in a marketing communications/writer role.
2 years health insurance industry experience, preferably including Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage products, group and individual products.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years Graphic Design experience.
2 years experience in curriculum design.
2 years experience with Learning Management Systems and content creation for sales training platforms.
2 years experience using platforms for facilitation of virtual meetings (i.e. Webex, Lync, etc.)
1 year experience working with Salesforce CRM.
1 year experience managing large scale mass emails using tools such as Constant Contact email engine.
