Providence Staffing Coordinator - Regional Clinical Resources in Portland, Oregon
Providence is calling a Staffing Coordinator - Regional Clinical Resources (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Office Park Portland in Portland , OR.
This position is per-diem (as needed) and will cover open shifts. You need to be able to work Night or Day shifts (7:30p-7:30a or 7:30a-7:30p). A minimum of 4 shifts per schedule period (every 4-weeks) is required. Shift availability is requested in advance.
We are seeking a Staffing Nursing Coordinator - Regl Nurse Staffing Resource who will provide a variety of staffing functions and services for the Department of Nursing. Provides monthly schedules and daily adjustments to nursing staff for each unit being a supportive function both to the units and administrative staff.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Recognize and respond immediately and appropriate to constant change in unit patient census, acuity and demands for staffing needs
Develop a thorough knowledge of policies and procedures as well as contractual agreements
Adjust 24-hour staffing levels of the nursing units based on Nurse Manager/Assistant Head Nurse pre-staffing
Process approved scheduling requests in a timely manner
Maintain the nursing on-call list and utilizes as necessary
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- equivalent
Three (3) years of background experience in Nursing and/or other hospital experience -OR- staffing/scheduling experience
